Hermes Agent is Nous Research's MIT-licensed, self-improving open-source AI agent (CLI, messaging gateway, desktop app share one core). Current release v0.20.0 "Herald" (2026-08-03); the desktop app is an Electron/React front end over the same agent with chat, artifacts, git, voice and a plugin SDK.
HTTP/3 and QUIC adoption in 2026: browsers, CDNs, servers and the holdouts
HTTP/3 is universal in browsers (95%+) and at hyperscale CDN edges (~40% of sites advertise it), but actual request usage has plateaued around 19-21% and slipped in July 2026; Apache, Azure Front Door, language stdlibs, proxies and bots remain the notable holdouts.
